Has anyone had any experience with both Xanax xr and klonopin and noticed that one had less speech disturbances from the other? I am on 2 Mg of klonopin and along with my 300 Mg lamictal (which I already have mild slurred speech) and have noticed it is a bit harder to get words out and more slurred speech. Wondering if I should ask my pdoc to try Xanax xr? also if there are any holistic tips to stop slurring that would be great! Many thanks for your input,

3mgs total? How dosed? I haven't had a problem with either, though I haven't taken lamictal. A guess might be Xanax as more likely because of its mucsle relaxing effect.

only 2mg a day, 1 mg in the morning and 1mg at night. So basically I take 2X.5 tablets in the morning and 2X.5 tablets in the evening. I am wondering if I take 3 tablets in the evening and one in the morning that might make a difference? Is dosing critical?

First, sorry for the double post! Next, think I got 3mg from your lamictal dose.
I'm thinking that the more one takes at a time, the more likelihood of that side effect. So you take it all day for anxiety, and a wee more for sleep.
I've played with my dosing. Right now, on a good day, I take. 5 Xanax xr upon
arising, and one more midday or so, adding an additional later if necessary.In principle, I think regularity makes the best sense and allows my (dyreglutated) system know what to expect.
Not sure this is helpful. Maybe someone with experience with both meds will post.

300mg of lamictal I take. Perhaps I will cut down to 1 1/2 tablets of klonopin in the morning and 1 1/2 at night bringing my total to 1.5mg of klonopin a day and see if that helps. thanks again,
