Ugh, goodness...
I alway's try to dodge the wear off of stimulant's by drinking alcohol and it alway's makes me sick. Alcohol makes anyone sick, I mean I can't just drink it without going "ugh, where's the trash can???"

In the past, I could drink alcohol but now it makes me feel awful and DEPRESSED. It does NOT mix well with my psych meds I know that and while it is often downplayed, it has the potential to be dangerous. I get easily and quickly sick from drinking and it takes the whole day after to feel even close to alright. Mebbe think of being kinder to your liver as well?

You know, the only benefit of alcohol is the 1st 15mg when it "eases" and "cheers up" things, then it followed by "lowsiness" and very dyphoric sedation.
One thing I did research about alcohol and amphetamines is they both increase the pressure on the heart. I just...impuslivly will get a drink and think It won't matter then later i'm like "ugh, goodness....have my head near the toilet if I drink liqour"
See, there's medication's that you can take like benzodiapines after stimulants wear off but that's considered "recreational" use and is known as "uppers/downers" and is well known in the past for being used with amphetamines and barbiturates, yet taken together amphetamine/barbiturates are not that dangerous because they help anxiety, alcohol does but it just....speeds up the heart and makes you feel like jumping in a trash can.

I disagree with the above but to each his own. Hope you don't plan any repeat puke sessions. :)

You shouldn't self medicate with alcohol (it's a depressant). Speak to your doctor about how you might extend the release of the stimulant.

It wasnt a puke session and I don't appriencate you using like that. It's just "alcohol's effects" that make you feel sick.
I take Xanax XR with Vyvanse...in the past I used to take alot of Xanax with dexedrine and it worked, smoothed mood with no anxiety. But that was only for a period of time.

Thanks...yes repeated use of alcohol and amphetamiones can cause heart problems and just worsen the health...maybe it works well on some people but not me.
I need to get on a 2nd dose during the day, the wear off period is alway's going to be there, so there's no stopping it. I know in the past, I took alot of Xanax during periods while I was taking Dexedrine to avoid bad moods, but my doctor discontinued it because he thought it was too much use of both medications together.
A drink sometimes is just good at the moment, it depends on what circumstance your in...like a stressful situation that you just are so stressed out, and there is nothing to take. It's an option, but on normal times during the day it causes depression.
Thanks
rj

But that was only for a period of time.I am sorry you were offended. I did intend to be offensive towards you. My intention was a small amount of humor but obviously that fell short.
I am sorry and I won't post to you again so confusion won't happen again.

we'll...just sometimes the first reaction I thought was ... "try not puke again" in your response...
Things get...misunderstood, but that wasnt an insult back to you. Do post to my posts, I just don't want to get the impression of being a "puking drunk" because that image is awful. And I don't want you to get the impression I was being prick saying that back. I just, gotta realize the social relm of things..
Have a nice day:)

rj, we are cool. I appreciate your words. It's difficult to be clear in written form with inflection and intent.
Thanks.... If I feel I can help, I will certainly continue to post to you.
This is the end of the thread.
