I guess a little like the holiday syndrome where people become depressed around holidays. For depressed people who tend to be somewhat socially isolated the weekend really highlights what we are missing.

Weekends are hardest for me too. Routine changes and there is that "happy family/social time" expectation too.

Weekends can be awful times for me. And my mood chart shows it. I usually have a game plan in place for Saturday & Sundays, esp. the mornings and Sunday evening. Doesn't always work, though.
Sorry you crashed.

It's "guess" it's good to hear I'm not the only one. I get emptiness/anxiety going home from work on Fridays (sometimes even when I have plans). Saturday afternoons are the worst for me. And sunny days in the summer, I feel like I am missing out or need to be outside.
I've asked others/friends if they deal with it. Most people don't seem to get it.
How much is anxiety? How much is depression?
I would rather be tired/sick/sleepy all day.
It's the same EVERY weekend. I try to change this pattern, remind myself that there are people in the psych ward. But it still happens every weekend. How many weekends in a lifetime? Sucks.
This is the end of the thread.
