I have tried a few stimulants and they all have helped with my slight depression and anxiety. But I have had some side effects from all of them.
Vyvanse was great for focus, motivation. But it gives me terrible asthma problems. Makes me wheeze. Scary - afraid to exercise. Plus is gives me a terrible headache. Tried cutting lowest dose (20mg into 1/4s - still asthma & headaches).
Adderall made me want to kill someone. Very angry - not good.
Focalin was ok, but I still got headaches and some jaw clenching. Maybe dose too high? Don't know.
It is a must for me to take a mood stabilizer with a stimulant or else I am not fit to be around.
Not sure what I will do. I might try an extended release of Focalin to see if that works better.
Any thoughts?

Sheila hopefully some good responses will be posted by fellow stimulant users. Only one I talk with a lot privately is on vyanase and a very low dose antipsycotic and is very successful in his career. I read that anxiety can change to add like symptoms have you read that? Love Phillipa

Wow, Phillipa, I haven't heard that about anxiety and ADD. I can remember having anxiety attacks as a small child though, so I've had anxiety my whole life.
What anti-psychotic and dose dose your friend take?
Thanks for the info.

Sheila I was going to babblemail you but yours is turned off so if you'd babblemail me see my name is a color probably blue click on it a screen appears and type a message that goes directly to me and make sure at the bottom you click send. Then maybe turn yours on at the registration page. If you included an e-mail I could also send some articles to you. But if that makes you uncomfortable no need. Love Phillipa
