Saphris anyone?

Posted by inanimate peanut on January 21, 2010, at 23:05:28

Have any of you tried or know about Saphris? Do you know if it works for bipolar depression? I know that there was a thread about it and weight gain-- is that a common side effect?

Hi,

My doctor had given me a sample as sort of a "bridge" to help me until my lamictal kicked in. But I never took it, mainly because I had never heard of it and because antipsychotics seem to knock me out with sedation.

Sorry I don't have more info...

i took it for bipolar depression...it knocked me out worse than zyprexa, and was not as effective. so i went back to zyprexa + abilify combination (attenuates the weight gain).

it's a good sleeper though. although it tastes horrible.
