Is there any specific time that one has to take Lithium? I am currently taking 300 mg in the morning and 300 mg at night. I am using the Lithium to Augment Parnate, But my insomnia can be terrible some times. So I was thinking that perhaps the Lithium at night is also contributing to that problem. Can I just take two Lithium in the morning? I don't have easy access to a physician at the moment. I will soon be raising my Lithium from 600 to 900, so again I also wonder if I can take all three doses early in the day.

I got to where I was taking all my Lithium at night rather than spreading it out and it worked fine for me. I think that it keeps a steadier blood state when you do the am and pm dosing, but I kept forgetting the am dose anyway, so I changed it and it worked fine.

It doesn't matter too much when you take it, as long as you're regular day to day. But, if you're going to be on 900 mgs, I hope you find a doc soon to check your Lithium level.
