My symptoms are no connection to feelings of love, joy, passion or even sadness. I'm not even truly sad. Just not happy. Feel completely disconnected spiritually as well. I tried a taper off of paxil 1+ years ago and couldn't get below 3.5mg so went back on 10 and have been there ever since. I'm going to see the pdoc on Thursday. I've experienced what I thought was true depression before but not this feeling. It's wierd. Will it go away? Has anyone else felt like this?
Thanks! Laney

Laney, I added a new post to your previous thread. Please see above.
I think you should print out the article on SSRI-induced apathy and show it to your p-doc.

No. For me it isn't about the weather. I know what you mean by being blah but this is more severe I think. It's hard to describe. I hope you start feeling better too PHillipa.

i have the same problem but it occurred after discontinuing an SSRI and did not improve after reinstatement. I also no longer feel happy or spiritual feelings, i also can not feel love very well. However I´m not sad. I created a similar post about ssri induced anhedonia, not long ago. many suggested SNRIs. You should try to find my post there was a lot of good advice.
Unfortunately paxil is a very hard drug to get off of. The other posters suggested adding a drug like nortriptyline might help by increasing norepinephrine.

Conundrum,
Why don't you take something else? Or are you?
