I have been taking 30mg parnate for five months and I thought the hypotension had gone away. Tonight, I woke up in the middle of the night and walked to the bathroom and --bam!!- I fell down backwards, banging my head on the floor.
It was a useful reminder. This is a strong drug I'm taking.

I drink a pint of water with 1/2 teaspoon of salt each morning and find it helps a lot - it raises blood pressure. Even though it tastes grim :)

I've been having lots of trouble with Parnate hypotension lately too. Do you take salt tabs? Do you (or anyone reading this) know where to find them?

ebay sellers have Thermotabs: http://cgi.ebay.com/2-bottles-THERMOTABS-Salt-Supplement-Buffered-200-tabs_W0QQitemZ130356231698QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item1e59d63e12
I have some but if I'm right, you have to have about 10 tablets to match the amount of salt in a teaspoon so I don't bother. Apparently they're 'buffered' and are easier on the stomach. I have GERD and IBS and don't find salt hard on my stomach anyway.
