Did all of you gain weight from Remeron (and do you usually gain weight on meds)? How does it make you gain weight-- is it because you get more hungry and eat more or do you just gain regardless of what you eat? What other side effects did you experience from it?
How long did it take to work when added to other meds?

For me don't gain weight on meds. Tried remeron l5 for sleep and even with benzos didn't help. Just stopped it cold turkey after about a month. No withdrawal no nothing. I'm strange??? Phillipa

Remeron made me want to eat everything in sight. I know it's suppose to get better with a higher dosage but I never got there. I stopped taking the med after two weeks of continuous eating.

While on Remeron, I was able to maintain my optimum weight with exersice and proper diet. Remeron will cause increased hunger after dosing, nothing more, so just watch what you consume. Antipsychotics on the other hand, mess with your metabolism and DO cause rapid weight gain, even while committing to a healthy lifestyle.
There's so much crap out there about Remeron weight gain. A lot of it comes from those that eat all kinds of crap and avoid exersice. Remeron is one of the best A/D's when compared to others for side effects....libido, anticholinergic etc.
