I can't believe how sneeky it is. When I feel well, I usually make a resolution - I will never go back to "there" again. But sooner or later, I don't know when it pops up or how, but its usually back, creeping slowly.
The feelings seem so familar, so normal. When I no longer feel pleasure, my brain creates a reason for it - most often out of touch with reality. Thats not true though, when you're there it *is* your reality.

Same with anxiety. Could they be the same thing? Or is it moods? Phillipa

>But Link, isn't it really being out of touch w/ reality? Is it really so equivocal? I mean, what I find maddening or terrifying (rarely humorous, sad to say) is just experiencing the seemingly arbitrary
shifts of mood, view, 'reality' as transient--dependent upon subconscious cognitions or the human chemical stew.
And yes--d*mn sneaky. Ditto on the resolutions. And Phillipa, anxiety, too.

I really kind of hate the amitriptyline. Sure it does work well for the depression, but I am not really taking it because it just leaves me feeling so drugged.

NO KIDDING!!!
First the depression comes, then, you find reasons for it. It's very sneaky.
