I've been taking Zoloft 200mg for a few years. The last three days I suddenly feel like I'm on nothing. VERY despondent and depressed.
Can it conk out that suddenly? What have others done in similar circumstances?
Thank you.

I have experienced the sudden lapse in treatment value as well. You may try augmenting the zoloft with lithium or lamictal. The combination may allow you to reduce the zoloft into the 100mg - 150mg range.
Take care,
Rick

Hi MrMichael,
Have there been any stressors in the past month or two? even the past week? I ask because that can happen to me, and my meds 'stop' working (hopefully, so far) temporarily.

Thanks everyone.
Yes, floatingbridge, there were about 5 very lousy things that all came up at once. It was horrible!! Now that they've worked out, I seem to be ok again.
So I guess these meds work ok for day to day life but when something really stressful comes up, they seem to take a nap.

Meaning I guess is that no med will cure all bad and stressful stuff. Glad it's working again. Phillipa

mrmichael,
Glad to hear the stressors are working themselves out, and that meds are not one of them!
