I think revolutionhealth.com is a great site for checking user ratings on medications for different uses, for instance, Zoloft for depression:

Sometimes I wonder if people from the pharmaceutical companies get on there and write positive posts. I do think there are many genuine reviews on this and other review/rating sites.

askapatient.com is also a good one.
It becomes obvious viewing any of these ratings that everyone has different responses and different complications of side effects, sometimes mild and sometimes downright scary. The saying "mileage varies" holds true.
It is interesting to see what meds score unusually well. They are not the ones most commonly prescribed.

There used to be a poster was a drug rep he had depression anxiety also and was on meds. Used to e-mail with him. Last I heard he was going back to school to study geology I think. Phillipa trivia
