Friends,I've happily been on 30mg of Cymbalta for 10 months. For the last few weeks, it feels as if the medication is wearing off. For one I am tired again - possibly more than I ever was - as if the serotonin part is still working but the buzz from the norepenephrin is gone??
I'm not quite back to my old depression but I am less effective and direct: ie. I am watching peoples mouths move again instead of listening to what they are saying. - some of the anxiety is back.
One really curious thing is that my muscles get super tires super fast. During exercise. From the start of cymbalta, my hands were always super week first thing in the morning, but that would change once i got going. Now within minutes of going for a hike or run or lifting weights, my muscles are pooped? What is this? And is there any such thing as "the meds catching up to me?" Like if cymbalta blanketed my fatigue for ten months, are my muscles screaming out now for rest and recuperation. that's probably wrong, but please whats this all about,
thank you so much,
Andrew

Maybe it is pooping out on you. 60 mg is the usual dose so you still have some wiggle room.

Some docs go up to 120mg as one wanted me to. I took 60 cymbalta for over three months and used the gym no problems. Didn't help anxiety though. Phillipa

30mg is a really low dose and these things are known to poop out. But as pointed out by another poster you can go up to 120mg which gives you alot of scope.
