hey all,
i have just started on aropax, and am hearing stories about weight gain. i am very very paranoid about gaining weight and will not take a med where this is nearly certain. so can anyone please tell me their experiences on it. whether they gained weight, whether they didn't. anything. first few days on it have been hell too. is that normal??

I didn't gain any weight on Paxil/aropax but some people do. What do you mean by the few first days have been hell. Define hell. If you do gain weight, it will be nothing like what you would gain on Zyprexa or Remeron.

I also took 10mg of paxil only ad that really ever worked for me with xanax low dose. Made me extremely tired for a good while. Phillipa

hmm i replied to this but didn't work. in feeling like hell i was very anxious. sweating. felt like i wasn't in this world. in the way that i couldn't focus. i could hear people talking but couldn't make sense of what they were saying. so i took a seroquel and that put me to sleep which helped.

Sounds like you are getting the Paxil buzz. Some people can't take it because it's too stimulating. It is know to make people zippy, which is why I guess it made me hypomanic bordering on manic. Do you think your blood pressure is high?

No Phillipa, I am BP type 2. I have gone hypomanic many times but not from meds.
