My doctor has put me on Wellbutrin, been on it for about 5 days. All I have noticed is some nervous feelings and feeling jittery plus more motivation. My question is, when do the consistent antidepressant effects kick in, and how does it make you feel once you reach that steady state? Also, has anyone found it to help social anxiety in combination with other meds? Thanks

Micheal it increased my anxiety only on a week doc took me off as appeared hypomanic to him. I wish you much luck on the wellbutrin. Phillipa

It didn't help my social anxiety, all up it made my overall anxiety worse. I also felt jittery and agitated. I gave up on it after 4 months, i never felt any type of anti-depressant effect.

I stopped taking it because it made me hypomanic too.

Wellbutrin has made me agitated and irritable in the past. It has also made me spacey, like I'd just come off an acid trip. I am now trying it again in combo with a lot of other meds which may dampen that effect. It's only been a few days but it seems to be giving me more energy, which is what I wanted. It's really too soon for me to tell this time around but it is definitely stimulating.

Hmm. I guess that was a presentation of SJS.
What did your hypomania feel like?
If you ever run out of ideas, you can go back to the Wellbutrin and take a mood stabilizer at the same time. My doctors only wish that they could have made me hypomanic. For, me mania is completely abolished by Depakote or a drug like Zyprexa.
