Hi all,
Thought I'd give an update! Everything continues to be positive, from the moment I awake, until I hit the hay at night. The lamictal /zyprexa have "finally" taken hold... my mood is much more consistent. Throw in a bit of zoloft and what can I say!!
Something else I should mention. I had a sleep study last month and discovered I had moderate sleep apnea!! Since starting treatment, my energy levels have sky-rocketed, blood pressure has slightly decreased and so on. I've been doing research on sleep apnea and can't believe how much damage it can do to oneself over time.
Depriving the body of oxygen, healthy rem sleep etc.... I'm quite sure it has played a major role in finding a successful treatment for my bipolar 2??
Anyway, I hope everyone continues to keep well and for those struggling at the moment, try and remain positive, you "will" find the right treatment plan!! :-)
Regards, Rick

Hi Rick.
Thanks for posting a follow-up.
I am so glad that you could report such positive things.
Do you believe in magic pills?
I, for one, believe in magic pills. I may have found one in lithium. Now that I have boosted the dosage to 600mg, I am beginning to feel better and better. It is early yet, but I am optimistic.
You know, I find it interesting that when I emerge from depression, I don't really feel as if I have changed. I feel like I am the same person, but now the rest of the world becomes a very different place to live in. Even the colors are more vivid.

Hi Jan, yes, I'm using an auto cpap machine. It is capable of providing nightly data... apnea events, pressures etc.

Hi Scott, great news! I had a sneaking suspicion that lithium may be your magic pill! Your perception of success describes exactly how I too, feel.
I am the same person, but now my mind has the ability to receive positive, tranquil thoughts.
The fact that one can make it through the day with optimism is very rewarding, no matter how much, or little, we accomplish in the day.Just being aware of your improved health is a blessing in itself. Lets hope you continue with your recovery.... Lithium can be a great "magic" pill for many!!!
