How long does it take for mirapex to start working? Are there any studies that show what is a good does range for depression augmentation?

Have you started it already or are you thinking about using it?
What other meds are you on?
What meds have you had before?
Why did you stop them?
What are your symptoms?
What are you hoping to get from a dopamine agonist?
Do you have restless legs syndrome?
Do you have Parkinsons disease?
I will look forward to your answers. In the meantime, you could visit askapatient.com and revolutionhealth.com to see what other patients had to say about their experience with Mirapex.

I am on .125 X 3 times a day of the mirapex. I am also on 30mg of lexapro. The lexapro helps with my depression but i still have dysthymia. It also helps with obsessional thoughts but i still have some problems with Anxiety. I have a major problem with adhd. I'm hoping that mirapex would help get rid of my dysthymia and increase my motivation. I know it won't help my concentration but if my motivation gets better then thats half the battle with the adhd.
Drugs i've been on recently desipramine, wellbutrin, strattera, ritalan, dexedrine, vyvase, adderall. The stimulants I can't tolerate because they make me very depressed and give lots of anxiety. The strattera and desipramine didn't help with my adhd and made my depression and anxiety worse.
Thanks for your response!

I hope it goes well for you. That would be awesome. Given your history, it looks like a decent approach. I was skeptical until I read your response, and then it made more sense.
If it doesn't go well, let us know. People here can probably brainstorm some ideas. I've got a few already. It sounds like you already have a good handle on it though. My immemdiate wish is that the Mirapex augmentation will work wonderfully for you!

> fbThe first week at .125 was rough I was very tired. One morning I was so nauseous i had to miss work but that only lasted one morning.
This week i slowly raised the dose to .25mg. I started feeling some positive affects. When combined with coffee I find I am motivated to get my work done. This is a major accomplishment for me.
As of today I feel a lot of energy. I think it is helping with depression but i had a very negative mood swing this week but the depression was short lived.
I may go to .5 next week depending on how I feel.
I will update this next week.
