I know these two are not supposed to be taken together since Luvox inhibits the enzyme that metabolizes agomelatine. I took the two together for a couple weeks albeit at a low dose of luvox (25 mg). Didn't really notice any problems.
Anybody know just how dangerous this is?

I didn't know this. Yes 25mg is half a starting dose of luvox. What is the combo supposed to do? Phillipa

Luvox will raise the level of agomelatine, but if it's a low dosage it will just be as if you had taken a moderate to higher dosage. Taking 200mg of Luvox though can raise it significantly and might be bad. Where do you guys live? I believe agomelatine is only available in Europe, they didn't approve it in the US.

Get your liver enzymes checked out (blood test)
The only risk with Ago is raised liver enzymes in some people. If it reaches more than 3X normal you have to come off it or stop your combination.
I had 'slighly elevated' liver enzymes from taking Ago 50mg a night. Nothing to worry about though. You'll probably not get into trouble on 25mg.

I'm in Virginia. Took some searching to get some agomelatine. Found it to be very useful for sleep but not as effective for social anxiety as SSRIs. Thanks for the replies. May end up going back on ago because I do like the help getting to sleep.
