Hi everyone,
I've been on Buspar for 15 years, but I switched to Fluanxol a month ago.
This drug is good for anxiety, but it has a negative impact on libido. How about a low dose of Seroquel in the evening as a supplement to 45 mg of Remeron?
The Remeron-Seroquel combo will give me better sleep,
and I might be able to quit Fluanxol as a daytime tranquilizer. Will 25 mg-100 mg of Seroquel handle my anxiety for the next 24 hours?
Best regards,
X-rayP.S. Medication Fact Book, The Carlat Psychiatry Report:
Seroquel

dosing often stabilizes at the 25 mg BID-QID range.Prolactin level: No elevation.

At 100mg, Seroquel will give you some help sleeping, but, in my opinion, it wouldn't control anxiety for 24 hours.

Thanks for your reply!
I sleep okay on Remeron, but I want a deeper sleep.
The answer might be Seroquel.I've been looking for a good Remeron combo for a long time without success.
I have tried Remeron and Lyrica, but I don't think that mix was the solution to my problem.
One doc suggested Neurontin, but this drug is similar to Lyrica.
So I don't believe in a Remeron/Neurontin combo. For anxiety I'll always have good old Buspar.
This drug has been my long time companion for many years.Could Remeron, Seroquel and Buspar be a mix that will bring me a happy life?
Best regards,
X-ray

Hi X-Ray,
Remeron & Seroquel would suffice, in my experience. Remeron could lift the depression, Seroquel could quash the anxiety.
However, if anxiety is bad, you probably need more than 100 mgs. Last year doc put me on 900 mgs for a bad episode. Anxiety retreated, but slept a lot too.
Combined with the Remeron, you might not need as much.
Good luck,
