How long on imipramine to see an effect?

Posted by HyperFocus on May 2, 2009, at 23:15:22

Coming up on my second week with imipramine 150mg. Anybody with experience on it care to share how long it took for them to feel any effect on it - positive or negative? It's done absolutely zero for me so far, no good or bad. It's like I'm taking a sugar pill.

Around 3-4 weeks if I remember correctly, although it was entirely negative effects for me (I've gone into remission after coming off it, ironically!).

Someone more knowledgeable than me mentioned elsewhere that you might need to push the dose up to 200mg for a while to give it a decent trial.

That's really interesting - it's never happened to me before (but then every med I've used before has actually worked in the first place!).

I did start taking NADH around the time the improvement started, but I'd have though it was too early for it to affect neurotransmitter levels.
