I just had a panic attack in pharmacy. Its like the pills have no effects some of the time, and other times they work great. I even took extra zyprexa the last 2 days and I can't even function calm cool colective out side the house. All bug eyed and anxious about every thing. Why does it do this? I'm fine when in house, but psychotic outside. Sort of like when I was not taking my meds in the past. I feel like someone is f*ck*ng with me.

I could tell that the lady at register was afraid of me. I thought she was going to kick me out or call cops. I tried to play it as cool as I could but no good. I got out of there as fast as I could.

What meds are you currently taking? Doesn't sound like they are going a very good job.

I'm taking: zyprexa, zoloft, wellbutrin sr, perphenazine.
The only problem is I've tried all the other APs, and the only one that worked was the zyprexa. Perphenazine works but not as well as zyprexa. The others are pure crap, actualy made me worse. When the zyprexa works it works great, but then there are these times that it doesn't work. I don't know what to do, can't give up the zyprexa?

The thing that realy bothers me is that for 10 years of taking zyprexa it worked great every day. Since my trial of abilify I've been having problems with the effectiveness of zyprexa. its been 2 years since the abilify now.

I have had so many meds poop out on me. It may be that the zyprexa is not working well any more. In any case I would not expect to have a person who is having panic attacks on wellbutrin, much too stimulating. And I would wonder about the Zoloft too. Mood stabilizers might be a catagory to explore. Did I already say that?
Oh well. Hope this helps.Zana

I was on a mood stabilizer before, depakote. Didn't help much and stoped it after a year.
Is it possible that I'm getting a placebo?

Are you in a study? If not there would be no reason for you to receive a placebo. In fact, it would be unethical and maybe even illegal.

What dose of perphenazine do you take and do you take it everyday or prn? 4mg feels like a sugar pill to me...

I take 12mg perphenazine x3 day. zyprexa 10-15mg, lately its been 10mg for the last 2 months. Wellbutrin sr 200mg. Zoloft 150mg.
Could it be because I'm so reclusive last 2 years and when I go outside its like a shock to system?
Is it possible that when I quit pot that I needed more medicine? My doctor said that it may have set me back some. I didn't belive him at first. But when I quit was about 2 years ago. But this never happened previous times.

No I'm not in a study. But I saw on tv, around the time the meds stoped working, that doctors can provide placibos. My doctor denied it.

When I had this panic attack I was running on no sleep.
I got some sleep and feel better today. But have not been outside the house.
I'm taking the zyprexa and don't feel as bad as when takin none so it must be doing something.

maybe the perphinazin is messing with teh olanzipine. also theres the issue of DA getting supersensitive after longterm neuroleptic use. maybe go to cedar point or something?

i'm sure it doesn't help

>possibly, cannibidiol is an antipyshchotic. it might be helpful for you.

oh i think what it means when doctors 'prescribe a placebo' they give a medicine that won't actually affect the disease. like giving an antibiotic for a viral infection. it doesn't mean the pharmacist is giveing you a sugar pill.

No they said that doctors prescribe a placebo to fool the patient and some times it works.
