I am currently on 20mg of Lexapro. I am so tired during the day even though I take it at night. I almost feel like I am in a fog. Does anyone know if sometimes less is better??? Or should I ask about going up to 30mg? I was going to ask my doc about switching to Prozac but I am afraid there may be weight gain which I have not experienced with Lexapro. Or should I maybe add something to the Lexapro to help make it work better? I do still have some anxiety on it.

How long have you been on it? Some take klonopin for the anxiety. Maybe a lower dose? Till body gets used to it if it's a new med? Phillipa

I had the same problem witrh lexepro, upping the dose didn't help things at all so it's not really a stimulating med in my experiance. I then changed to prozac but the stuff made me feel like going on a rampage so i had to quit it.

Maybe consider cutting the dose to 10mg? However, 10mg may not be a high enough dose to be effective.
I had very few problems taking Prozac. I took 60mg for several years and didn't get any weight gain at all (in fact I actually lost weight). It is one of the most stimulating out of the SSRIs; however, it caused no such problems of increase anxiety with me - although it didn't do anything to calm my anxiety either!
If you were to switch to Prozac I'd start at 20mg and keep a close eye on the anxiety - maybe keep some benzos near, especially at the start of treatment. You could also consider buspirone if anxiety is a problem. It can be taken along side most antidepressants (although it does interact with MAOIs I believe). Buspirone has helped me a little bit (I'm on 45mg per day) but I've found it to be not as effective as some people claim.
