Has anyone had any sucess with a low - micro dose of prozac ? I cant tolerate starting prozac and normally give up around week 2 with all the side effects listed so this time im goingto try 1mg of liqiuid for a month then maybe go on to 2mg see what happens. Thanks babblers

I used liquid (pediatric) Prozac to titrate my starting dosing, to minimize side effects. I went up by 2.5 mg increments weekly. I think I got the best balance of benefit vs side effects at about 12.5 mg/day.
I don't think you need to start as low as you're contemplating, nor increase the dose as slowly as you suggest. You'll know as you proceed what your actual tolerance is.

Update - ive been taking 1.5 mg for 2 weeks and i feel a subtle calmness, i think my sleeping has improved and my mood seems flatter rather than up and down. Have anorgasma even on such a small dose and drinking beer isnt pretty.

it was mentioned here that low dosage prozac can work. Good you're not having tolerance which is also frequently told here. Hope the side effects will diminish.

Stopped now - vicious circle for me - found myself becoming numb, craving carbs, feeling heavy and just feeling strange. Now i got a weird headache around the eye area and at side of head - hope i havent damaged myself with all this abuse.
