Hi
I am sorry if this is short notice, I am having a colonoscopy tomorrow and feeling very anxious. I am OK until the wee hours of the morning. I thought if I took a ambien 10 mg or half a tablet, before going to bed (after the prep) I would at least sleep some of the night. I am afraid, however, of taking the ambien and interfering with the anesthesia they administer during the procedure. My procedure is scheduled for 7 AM. Does anyone know the half life of ambien (not CR) ? Should I just tough it out tonite and not fool around with this ? I completely forgot to ask my doctor and it is Sunday evening. Thanks alot.

Hope it went well. I'm sorry, but I didn't know the answer.

Thanks for both of your follow-ups. The procedure went fine and I was able to get through the evening before without the Ambien. Thank you both so much again.
