Hey manic, good to see you back, thought Chuck Norris joined the forum for a minute (:.

Tough spot isn't it, waiting to see if a med is going to work and having another med in the back of your mind? Zoloft is my #1 AD. I do better on it than all other ssri's, snri's etc.

I'm like you, just wanting to make it through the Christmas period with a happy family. I don't want my wife or girls to get down cause I'm not feeling good.

At least your p/doc is listening and you know you have a choice if the cymbalta doesn't work.

Good to see you back, take care.... Rick

Hi Manic..I just did a switchover from 60 mg.Cymbalta to 100 mg. Zoloft..it was smooth and easy, much to my surprise!! no brain zaps or anything ..I'm functioning pretty well also..so here's hoping! Xmas is always a rough time to do a med change but I did not have a good experience on Cymbalta. Right now I feel pretty optimistic that I'll handle Xmas OK. Hope your med change goes well. I'm a big zoloft fan, except for the dreaded poop out..

Hi Manic:

I did it in one go. Instead of my morning 60 mg Cymbalta, I took 100 mg. Zoloft and just went from there. No withdrawals or start up effects. It was much smoother than I had anticipated, which was nice!
