I would like to try Emsam for social anxiety so as to avoid the dietary restrictions with Maoi's. What experiences have people had with it and how can I get a doctor to let me try it?

About 5 or 6 weeks at highest dose.
No side effects really either.
My Dr. waited until I exhausted many other options first.

Hi see you're new to babble let me welcome you and a great deal of info here. I know two posters who 1 is still on Emsam and doing very well. The Other appears on a thread Goodle on this site Robert David many positive experiences. He is no longer on it as he is just back to klonopin. Good luck. Phillipa

I have been on Emsam for about 8 months and it has been very good for me except for the time that I took cough syrup with out thinking about it. That was not a good thing to do!!!

I just looked it up in my psychopharmacology book and it is commonly used off-label for both social anxiety and other anxiety disorders
