Some of you may remember the posts I have made in the past regarding adderall. I wish to be done with that med, and I think I am getting to the point that I am, but I still have an urge/desire to take it. Its difficult to stop. I am thinking pristiq might help me. My cousin is taking it and he said it has changed his life. He is not angry - he is now mellow- whereas before he was not. I want to try pristiq, and have made an appointment with doc for Thurs. However, does anybody at all know if I will be able to continue my stimulant for awhile before going off of it? Or should I try stopping the adderall altogether and give pristiq a fresh start? Stopping adderall will not be easy. Ahhh,. I dont know what to do. Please help with your advice/input. Thanks!

i just started pristiq and am on Ritalin, i can't say i've noticed any bad reaction. maybe a slight increase in heart rate about an hour after i take ritalin (not normal for me).
but it depends how you react to your adderall now, and id certainly check with your pdoc too since adderal is bit diff than ritalin.
and FYI the first day i took pristiq i didn't take any ritalin just to see how i'd react to pristiq, it wasn't anxiety provoking for me so next day i took ritalin...
