My doctor recently prescribed me Ativan after I told him that I've been feeling severely anxious for the past few weeks. He prescribed me 0.5mg once daily. I'm assuming that this is a relatively low dose of this medication. Can anyone confirm this? For people who've been on this med, what has your experience been and on what dose were you prescribed?

Hi yes it's a low dose and I have been on it in the past up to 5mg a day. That was much too high. And once daily is not a lot. Good luck to you. Phillipa

It's a low dose, but I know I notice .5mg if I take it. For people who do not have a history of taking benzodiazepines, you'll notice the difference on the lowest doses.
Good luck with it.
