Can ECT be used in patients with liver and kidney disease? The anesthetic drugs that they use during ECT are metabolised by the liver and kidneys so what do the doctors do for these patients with liver and kidney disease? Do they reduce the dosage of the drug? or do they use other methods to put the patient to sleep?

I would talk to an anesthesiologist about that. Is there no other alternative to ECT?
