Cant say much, i know what the advice is going to be. But emotions and feelings control me alot. So do obsessive thoughts about future events.

take the control back. get in a safe place and let the thoughts come...they are just thoughts (remind yourself), write them down, what worries you, scares you, angers you. what future events do you obsess about...write these all out then look at them.
expose them. disect them. discover them.
they DON"T OWN YOU, YOU OWN THEM. remember that.about the future events. after you write them down, decide what you have true control over and what you don't. make plans with what you can control. and push the rest out with meditation.

this advice is a non-medicine route.
also try vigorous exercise.
poetry or writing short stories about your worries or maybe just journaling them.
