Anyone take effexor and risperdal? My pdoc wants me to augment my increasing dosage of effexor with .5mg of risperdal to take the edge off so I can work (or try to). Anyone try this regimen?

I haven't personally tried these together. However I have took SSRIs with Seroquel and Zyprexa. The Seoquel didn't do a thing for me. Zyprexa only worked slightly when I took it at 10mg (half the maximum dose).
Depending on whether Risperidone works for you or not you may need to 'up' the dosage to gain any positive effects. Either way I'd discuss it with your p/doc first.
