i went through another one of my periods of forgetting my medication for days. now it has been over a week. now even more paralysed and very exhausted. is this likely the lamotrigine discontunation? i am trying to decide to restart or not, but it's a decision, and i'm allowed to make about four of these in a year. correction: now being 24, it has been reduced to three.

Why would even think about restarting Lamictal unless you were feeling bad. You are feeling bad.
I guess your question becomes, "how can I be sure that I need the Lamictal?" Either you can use history to answer this question, or, instead, perform an experiment in the future. For now, unless you are absolutely sure about cause-and-effect, I would restart Lamictal without worrying whether you need it or not. You tolerated it well. Once you restart your entire treatment regime and feel well again, you can then perform an experiment and try to remove the Lamictal.
You might want to be cautious when restarting the Lamictal. You don't want to shock the system into having a rash-reaction. My *guess* is that you can start at 100mg or 1/2 your previous dosage, which ever is higher, and add 50mg each day until you reach your previously effective dosage.
