hi, so basically it starts 30 seconds when i turn left or right when lying down in my bed, after 30 secs, i hear blood flowing sound, then i get shocked, a feeling of loosing control, then when i get up it vanishes instantly or lie back into a position with my head to the cealing
this is so strange, i cant get any sleep for weeks now, very hard and frightening!

Jeroen if it's vertigo they shine a light in your eyes and can tell by the way the eyes move or look. I had it once. Ativan and antivert got rid of it. Phillipa

All I know is had to crawl to the bathroom and couldn't move my head. Had to be taken to the ER. At least I didn't have the nausea. I think it could be something different. Phillipa

Which is fine, I can't force you to do anything nor listen to my advice (or me, if you prefer listening to other people) but there never is any response that I hear and I think labelling every aspect of side effects as TD is NOT helpful psychologically. There are definately other reasons for what you have described and several of those do not sound like any Tardive or TD symptoms I have heard of.
Tardive means LATE in treatment for most parts (yes, I had a very rare possible case of Tardive Dystonia early with Zyprexa but I am medication sensitive and it was an isolate case that I am disappointed with to say the least and have to live with it until it hopefully disappears).
Tardive symptoms can also go away -- in fact they have gone away in at least 1/3 if not more of patients, but this takes time.
Please consider whatever the health system in Belgium allows to evaluate you, I don't want you to continue to add to your depressive symptoms something that hasn't been diagnosed.
Anyhow that is my advice and you are an adult and can see fit as to what to do and I hope I didnt seem harsh, I just want you to feel as best as you can and be as functional as you can under what you already are experiencing.

> JayI have tardive dyskinesia in all its severe forms and am under study for tardive psychosis (which is not a medically confirmed criteria yet). I am being treated with muscle relexants, Klonopin and Zofran which has been shown to be of the greatest help with it. All the antipsychotics except for Clozaril can cause tardive dyskinesia which can occur at any time and be masked as it is occuring and then emerge full blown. If you even suspect you have tardive dyskinesia then have your psychiatrist send you to a movement disorders specialist or there is also a potential of experimental medications. I am in a study for an experimental antipsychotic, glycine that is a glutamate antagonist that cannot create movement disorders and promotes a full recovery. Geodon can and will cause tardive dyskinesia in time. The sleep disruption could be tardive myoclonus or tardive akathesia which can appear epilepsy like as I have them and they create severe insomnia. I've never heard of any medical reports of tardive dyskinesia created by Lamictal however as that's not an antipsychotic. But please if you read this have your psychiatrist refer you to a movement disorders specialist and also they can do a sleep study to figure out what is going on and as well do an EEG to rule out epilepsy. And for anyone reading this the glycine study, the tardive psychosis study and the now still experimental use of Zofran for tardive dyskinesia are being studied by a trained psychopharmocolgist and the information I provided was from him and other medically factual sources as well.
This is the end of the thread.
