Hi everyone,
Hoping someone can help me out here. About last September (2007) I encountered a severe bout of depression due to the break up of a relationship. Its now may (2008) and im still in a black hole. I was on Luvox which up to that point had worked well for me. My dr has moved me across to Effexor and also put be on a low dose of Zyprexa. I have slowly.. very slowly had my dose of effexor increased until now I am on 600mg which I believe is the maximum dose. It doesnt seem to be working. I still get depressed I still get general anxiety and social anxiety.
I have asked my dr that maybe I would be better of on a seperate anti depresant however she insists that it would only be going backwards and that effexor is covers all the things that the other depressants do and more. Can anyone shed any light on this?
