estazolam you know its a sleeping medication, but i take Restoril, been on it for 2 years, works great with sleep, just take a about 30min before bed time, but the only thing. Restoril will only last 2 hours.
Lunesta i heard lasts a long time, 6 hours.
I have been on Trazadone (i litterly was glued to the sheets in the morning i was so groggy) Seroquel i would wake up and feel just, groggy like i just couldnt get it together.
How effective to think Prosom would be?
thanks......but still Restoril has calmed down some panic attacks at night, and done good stuff too get me asleep.

It does, well it will calm 'hell' anxiety i have at night, but it has gotton to the point where i think i do need something to just block negitive thinking.
Been on Zyprexa on time 12.5mg, god! i had anxiety somewhat the next day but i could not think as fast and i just sit "stared". Spacey, but still Zpyrexa has its stabilizing mood effects, i may just need to increase the dose again because of just "irrational fears" that plague me during the day. And resulting i have panic attack, and some of my panic attacks have been for 30min, its more of a anxiety hit.
Sometimes..........you know maybe "Haldol" would work. Maybe it would shut me up, but im a very livvely person, and it would make that go away, but being a really peppy person in general, there are some bad things, like anxiety, hoping the worst doesnt happen, hoping that when i take a walk down the street there wont be any one calling me a 1000 times.
Thats it. Ill talk to God on this.

hey liveandthink-- i've been on both restoril and prosom. i used to take 30mg of restoril. i felt like it worked well, but it took a long time to kick in. i thought it lasted long enough, though. i currently take 2mg of prosom along with 150mg of seroquel. mostly i think the prosom helps speed along my sleepiness, helping me fall asleep faster. i don't think i've ever taken the prosom alone, though, so i don't know how effective it is.
hope this helps,
cb

Midazolam (Dormicum) is one of the best as it acts rapidly and has a very low risk of making you sleep too long, or impairing you the day after.
Zolpidem (Ambien) seems to last a little longer.
For longer sleep, cyproheptadine (Periactin) is a good choice, especially since it produces a higher quality sleep than the benzodiazepines (and Z-agents).
This is the end of the thread.
