cymbalta withdrawal

Posted by crazy.neighbor on March 29, 2008, at 13:29:03

I have been reading and your posts are very informative. One thing I haven't seen addressed, which I am experiencing is a rise in blood pressure. I am on day 9 I think, LOL of cold turkey from 90 mg daily of Cymbalta. It is terrible, and I wouldn't wish it on an enemy. But I keep having my BP go uop and down. Somebody say it happens all the time, please.

Any medication that effects Norepenephrine can raise blood pressure.

I appreciate your answers. It's day 13, getting a little better. I feel so sorry for all the people on this type of med, because when they do decide to stop taking them, they are in for a world of hurt. Its great that we have these boards to be able to find out what the dr''s don't tell us.

I have successfully taken myself off of Cymbalta without the withdrawl symptoms. It sounds crazy but I was taking just a little bit of the contents inside the capsil at a time. I did the same thing when I took myself off of Effexor. You are right, it is terrible to have to go through that. I wish you luck!

You're about 2 days ahead of me - feels like it has been a lot longer, think the tapering is better. Had a pretty goot day today, not too dizzy.
