Well when im moved out, i'll be the most free, until then......
I post because im posting my feelings, someone that controls me alot doesnt want me to post here. Obvious, wanting to control my life....
I'll have to really slow it down some.... because if she catches me on this laptop on PB....WHOAO! lock up the computer for a week. Its just the way things are. But i have to post here for venting reasons.
I sure hope my mom doesnt ban me from this site like she banned me from ever going back on stimulant....see the conections....?
frustrated.....
just know that my mom is mrs "no no" to almost everything that can help me.

Hi fan. Is this your laptop or hers? I'm sure you know what I'm going to say....but you are legally of age...she cannot ban you from using this site. She cannot legally lock up your possessions and keep you from them. It's illegal and it's inappropriate for an adult son. Of course if it's her laptop, she has the right to dictate what she will and won't allow related to your borrowing it.
Perhaps you could work with your counselor to come up with a way to be more assertive with your mom. Baby steps, ya know. Something like this might be a good start.
Good luck. It would be a shame if you weren't around here.

its in her name. She has caught me before, and said this website was full a bunch of nut's. Didnt want me to get on.
What doesnt realize is this helps me vent, and tell my problems because, my mother is not going to listen to my psycho-talk, she going to be like, "go vacuum or something". And a therpist i can only see once a week, so...........this is 24/7 help pretty much.
But she just doesnt understand that it helps. What happened was, i said something about her a long time ago, she found out about it, and blew up. Never talk bad about her again, exept about the session which she did have a plan to never let me take Stimulant-type medications again.
Its just crazy...... crazy crazy crazy.
She will lock it up, she 's done it before, and will do it again. Its her laptop, but she doesnt use that much.

OK,
So I imagine the laptop runs Windows? I suggest you get a Linux distribution (RedHat is good) & install it also. During the install you should be able to repartition the hard drive without losing the Windows - just shrinking the Windows partition a bit. She'll never notice the space reduction. The Linux installer will ask if you want to wipe windows (say no) then it will ask if you want dual-boot (say yes) but make it only boot to the Linux partition from a floppy.
Now, sounds like you might need a friend to help you do this but what you will achieve is that :
a) you'll have your own secure area on the laptop she'll never know about.
b) the only way to boot into your Linux partition is via a floppy disk (make copies) & hide them. So even if she suspects you're using the laptop for "whatever" she'll find no evidence under windows. This will work well so long as someone sets it up properly.
And oh yeah - move the f*ck out ASAP.

and that's me. i'm vegan and too lazy to buy the vegan kraft dinner substitute over the internet. i'm not happy. :( i haven't had KD for what i think is probably a decade.
in any case, if you want to avoid confrontation to some degree, maybe you can buy a cheap or used laptop? basic web functionality shouldn't be too expensive. the ASUS "Eee PC" laptops are adorable, and they are coming out with newer even better models shortly. xo.
This is the end of the thread.
