I read magnesium is good for anxiety. Well i took it (from the store) and i feel so "drugged", i feel its almost taking Lithium (though i have never took it)
I feel just like, ------, like that.
How long is it going to last because i really hate the way this stuff is.

Are you the same person that was posting under a different name in the past? You sure do remind me of someone else!!!! I just tried to sent that "someone else" a babble mail and it didn't go because it prompted that his posting name was changed.

Long time psychiatrict patients with either depression or anxiety have been cured with magnesium. But like you, I respond very poorly to magnesium. Actually, I cannot think of any other supplement that makes me feel so bad.
I eat very healthy so I am assuming I get all the magnesium I need and any extra is not good.
Magnesium has so many different functions I cannot begin to analyze what exactly is wrong with it for me. It just slows something down way too much, something that is already too slow to begin with.
Others would say to take much lower doses at first and build up slowly over weeks and months to higher doses. But even a little bit makes me feel much more depressed, anhedonic, and tired. It wears off in about 24 to 36 hours for me.

>I was just going to say magnesium in excess is a laxative and purgative (Epsom Salts, Magnesium Citrate, etc.)
Electrolytes are important but remember not to overdo them

Fan I've taken it years and haven't noticed that and it's supposed to help with your bones too. Keep them strong. With Calcium too. Phillipa
