Hi,
I am currently on Parnate and I am finding that it works really well but I have a tolerance towards it and I feel that I have to increase the dosage for it to remain effective. I have taken 100mg per day (not everyday however) and I find that this works. I have also read that it is possible to take up to 200mg a day but I am not sure if this is a safe dosage and whether it will cause hypertensive crisis or serotonin toxicity.
I have also read the LD50 is 2-3mg/kg which means that based on my body weight I should not exceed more than 170mg (or 17 tablets at 10mg).
So if I want to increase my dosage do I follow the 2-3mg/kg or can I increase it to 200mg which is what I want to do if it is safe?
Thanks
Britney
