I was taking Wellbutrin for about 4m when I noticed my hair became very thin. I went to my Dr. he said that it wasn't uncommon for people to go through stages when they THINK there hair is falling out. I stopped taking Wellbutrin about 1m ago and have noticed I'm not shedding as much I dont and I have new sprouts. I know as you get older your hair can thin a bit but I'm only 28 and I did some research and found other women with the same problem. One women asked the pharmacist who said that 6% of people stop taking Wellbutrin because it makes there hair fall out. Now its not like it fell out in clumps or anything just shedding like normaly but 3x as much every where. Do you think this is what caused my hair to start falling out

Well that's a weird thing for him to say. Its normal for you to falsely believe your hair is falling out? I would think its entirely possible for there to be a small number of people who have an unusual reaction to certain meds. I say trust your instincts. Now if you start noticing every med makes your hair fall out, you may want to re-evaluate! ;-)

I am older and went through a period where my hair was definitely thinning and falling out but attributed it to my low thyroid. But some meds do make hair fall out is it listed sided effect. As I haven't heard that myself about wellbutrin. Good luck Phillipa
