Contrary to what I've been reading, Abilify definately had pro-sexual effects for me. To my - oh God - nice surprise!! I'm wondering if gender is a determining factor here...? As far as I can gather most complaints about Abilify's sexual dampenings effect seem to come from males.
Being female, I had the opposite effect. Not only did the time to reach the *big O* decrease significantly, I also started to get horny thoughts by week 6 PLUS would start falling in love again with perfect strangers - much like when I was sweet 16....
I'm guessing this 'adverse effect' (BTW, not mentioned in the prescription leaflet) must stem from hormonal differences between men & woman. I had the same effect on Strattera whilst most men complain it makes the impotent...
By the way, I only took 5 mgs of Abilfy, but quit taking it because it made me depressed. May be I should have stuck it out longer?
