I am beginning my third week of cymbalta. 1st week @30mg and now 60. How long before I'll see results and is there anything helpful for sleep?

Depends on you and reaction to med. You give no info on what you are taking the med for but seem concerned about sleep. Have you asked you pdoc about it? Phillipa

I'm taking cymbalta for depression and anxiety. So far it doesn't seem to help at all and my sleep is awful, 1 or 2 hrs a night and sometimes none.

Sorry to report that cymbalta did absolute nothing for me except disrupt my sleep and give me the worst diarrhea I have ever experienced. I switched to Sam-E and feel much better.

I tried effexor for a short time and am going back as cymbalta also did nothing for me except interrupt my sleep.

Cymbalta seems diff. from any others that i've taken -- also from posts I've read it seems that way. I've been on it 2 weeks and I've gone back and forth a number of times as to whether or not it's working. The last couple of days I've had that hopeful feeling that it might be kicking in. I feel a little better, a touch more energetic. I could certainly be wrong tho - have been before.
Interesting comment above about the diarrhea bc it has given me the opposite. NO sexual side effects though! (for me) yay!
I'm used to AD's kicking in in a matter of days though, so this is a long time for me. My doc says 3 weeks. What did others find, and was it a gradual improvement?
This is the end of the thread.
