> going to ask to be put on seroxatWhy Seroxat? It's quite a leap from Seroquel or Clozapine to Seroxat -- the first two are antipsychotics, the last an SSRI antidepressant. Why do you think that's a better answer for you?
You've posted about Clozapine before, and I got the impression you had been taking it? I guess I misunderstood.
I know you think your psychosis was caused by a short trial of Lamictal, but I thought you'd been on antipsychotics before starting it? Had you been diagnosed with a psychotic disorder before you went on Lamictal? What were you taking Lamictal for in the first place?
Jeroen, it sounds as though you've been going through the wringer with this. You're getting treatment, do you feel it's adequate? If not, do you have any alternatives for treatment? And what is it about your treatment that you feel is inadequate?
What is your diagnosis right now? Do you think it's accurate? If not, what do you think fits better, and why?
I know -- I've offered an awful lot of questions, but no answers. Maybe, though, in answering the questions I've asked, you'll find some insight into the answer to your original question.

>Make sure to have AIMS exams if you're going high dosage on any antipsychotic. There's no need to escalate the dose on any of them unless it warrants your condition. Always do the minimum effective dose.
I'm for other reasons considering clozapine -- it does have its drawbacks besides blood monitoring, weight gain is greater than Seroquel for a number of people and so is tiredness. But it hasn't had any reliable reports of TD.
This is the end of the thread.
