Hello,
I already posted this on the withdrawal board, but there doesn't seem to be much activity over there and no one responded.
I want to stop taking all benzodiazepines as I think they do me more harm than good. I am currently taking 2mg Clonazepam and 30mg Oxazepam. Based on the Ashton manual, I should convert to 55mg diazepam. The length of taper should be at least 30 weeks. How am I going to convince my Dr. to do such a conservative taper? If I tell him I want off, he'll taper over a week or two only. Any suggestions on how to convince him to do it the Ashton way? My worry is that I'm also on Bupropion and it has the risk of causing seizures, and benzo withdrawal can also cause seizures.
Thanks,
Sonic

Thanks for posting it there first. Now that people here are aware of it, maybe discussion can continue there? Here's a link:

Thanks Dr. Bob, and sorry for posting on the wrong board, but there didn't seem to be anyone watching the withdrawal board.
