Good question. According to my information, no. That is, probably, most likely, in all probability (but not with absolute certainty), no. Its cousin amineptine -reportedly- could cause false positives...though whether this was actually the case is unknown - I know of someone who apparently passed drug tests while taking both medications (amineptine and tianeptine). Also, I am told that there is a slight chemical difference in tianeptine (as compared with its cousin) that 'ought to' prevent tianeptine from being metabolised into anything like amphetamine. I don't know the chemistry, myself.
Though I can't actually verify if any of that info is correct, I basically trust it. Never heard of anyone having false positives from tianeptine.

Thanks. That's good enough for me. I think I'd be safe with tianeptine on a drug test.
