Just seeking info as a friend was on vicodin for a while and his doctor put him on suboxone. Any info much appreciated. Phillipa ps no it's not a poster a friend. And since I'll be having surgery and given opiods need the info too. Thanks

Phillipa, it's for opioid addiction, so you shouldn't have to worry aboutit for your postop pain management. This friend has probably been dealing with it for a long time.

You probably won't need opioids for more than a few days after your surgery.
Suboxone is used mainy to treat heroin addiction. It contains buprenorphine and naloxone. The naloxone is present to discourage people from crushing and injecting the tablets.
