First time I took it at 60mg no side effects for me. When I stopped it no depression and anxiety still there no withdrawal effects. What I noticed when off it was I had back pains so I guess it helped with pain. Second time I didn't trust a different pdoc so at 30mg my head felt like it would explode so stopped it after l0 days. When you took it the first time did it help your depression and anxiety? Did it make you drowsy?

As they say, everyone is different. I'm not on it now and that was not a good choice but I'm not going into choices, it is painful.

I took it for almost 9 months and I didn't get alot of energy but now that I am on my second ad I don't think they work that way for me. Cymbalta though made me numb. I thought at the time that was good but it made me too numb. It did increase me thoughts of suicide. So be careful of that. All AD's can make you gave weight as they tend to make you crave sugar. Cymbalta and the ad I am on now did help the deep dark depression but not all. I would say lexapro is better for anxiety. For me cymbalta did not help with anxiety at all and it is not really touted for that. My doc says lexapro is the best for anxiety of the newer ad's. cymbalta did work on the pain and a little on the depression but I didn't get that high everyone else seems to get. Now it did give me side effects and getting off was the hardest thing I did. It helps to have another prescription to help you get off. And don't go cold turkey. Go from an Ad to something else is the best way. It as well as most Ad's do make most sleepy. I finally adjusted to cymbalta's sleepiness after a few months but I am having more trouble with lex. I have been off cymbalta since April Been on lex for little over a month. rk
