Trivastal Retard 50mgI took my first dose with dinner. After about an hour or so, my tummy started to react oddly. It was expected and bearable.
Soon after this, I became increasingly ill-tempered. I feel this irritability usually at retiring hours since I am on Provigil, but it was like Trivestal added to the bad temper. I felt like going out of my flat and yelling at those poor guys down the road. I didn’t; because I know what is wrong. I have taken a powerful dopaminergic.
Gradually irritability became worse and I feared it will soon show the way to agitation. Not waiting for this to happen, I chewed two lorazepam tablets. (I was off benzos for some days for a reason, but had kept them reserved for occasions like this.) Irritability began to cease and I went to bed. Slept like a baby.
I woke up feeling something unusual. I was afraid I will have to take my lorazepam again in the morning but surprisingly, I felt quite relaxed. Cool and friendly to my surroundings. This could not be the effect of lorazepam considering its relatively short half life.
As the day progressed, I became more tranquil and at ease. Definitely not energized or activated. But a sense of calmness; that no benzos could offer so far. This was totally opposite to what I experienced overnight right after dosing Trivestal.
Now, it is evening here, and I am still peaceful and serene. A slight elevation of mood, but that is indistinguishable since I am on Provigil too. So far apart from the relaxing effect, Trivestal hasn’t added any further benefits to Provigil in its invigorating effect. This was not what I anticipated. In fact, I started Trivastal expecting it to augment Provigil, so that I can lower my Provigil. But I think I will have to wait more for this effect.
That’s all for now, I will keep you updated. Meanwhile, if any of you are taking Trivastal, please let me know how long I should have to wait to get to the alerting, energizing effect of this drug. I saw a poster earlier in one said it could be as soon as a week later. Do you know?
My current cocktail:
Provigil 300mg in divided doses.
Prozac 10 mg every other day. ( I will soon come off this med)
Ativan 2mg or Xanax 1mg. Only occasionally.
Cozaar 100mg (An anti-hypertensive drug) in divided doses.
Neurontin 600mg in divided doses.
Metformin 1000mg (An anti-diabetic, anti-obesity drug)Cheers.

Second day on Trivastal Retard. 50mg
I took my second dose as usual at dinner. Interestingly after an hour or so, I found it little stimulating. The intensity of irritability and gastrointestinal problems has lessened. Good sign. This is an indicative of them going to cease upon repeated administration.
But I felt aroused. It was difficult to determine whether I can sleep well in this alerted state. I took my Ativan 2mg (awkwardness!!) and slept well.
I regret taking Ativan. Not because I am a benzophobic. In fact, benzos are the cleanest drugs for me to come off without any trouble. Let it be Xanax, Klonopin or Ativan, I never had a problem to withdraw. But what I hate in benzos is their effect in cognition department. They dull my emotions.
By the way, I woke up a little earlier today. (Early morning awakening?) But it could not be an indicative of depression, because even after sleeping less than usual, I feel refreshed. I am awake and didn’t feel like having coffee or Pepsi. In a wide awake state, why should I caffeinate me again?
Provigil is there in my cabinet. Not surprisingly, I didn’t feel like taking it. But it is the only med which I liked most, so I took half a pill simply not to loose touch with it. It took more than a month for me to adjust to this drug. So, I am afraid if I skip a day or two, I will have to go through the same pattern again to reach where I am now.
After all Trivastal seems to be a very promising drug for me. No side effects so far though it is little bit earlier to accentuate it right now. This is my second day on the med. I think still there are more benefits to reap from this molecule as time passes. For the maximum benefits, I think I will have to wait for many weeks.
Calming, alerting, motivating... Trivastal is undeniably unique. That’s the story so far. I will keep you updated.

Hi Rvanson,Trivastal Retard 50 is Piribedil which is a selective D2/D3 dopamine receptor agonist with additional α2-noradrenergic properties. It is manufactured by French pharmaceutical giant Servier. Unfortunately this drug is not available in US. That’s of no surprise, as most of Servier products never make it to US market.
Servier produces many of the finest drugs out there. Survector (amineptine) was their product which they had to withdraw due to US pressure. Stablon, another unique antidepressant is also a Servier product but hasn’t made it to US yet.
I think with a valid US prescription you can mail order it overseas. The drug is relatively cheap. Check out Servier official site.

\Thanks, I tried Serviers Stablon years ago and it was not too bad as AD's go, but it didnt quit do the trick for me. I am treatment resistant so no worries about thier quality of meds.
As far as precriptions I know lots of on-line pharmacies where I can get all manner of non-US meds, probably even the one you are using.
I cant go any futher ITR as its Dr. Bobs rule that we dont speak about non-US pharmacy meds information and obtainment.
Yes, The US is fanatical about dopamine medications, so they put Survector (amineptine) out of business just like another Dopamine AD medication, Merital, back in 1985.
Both medications were very effective for many people, but they dont care about that it would appear.
Thanks for the info. It sounds like this med is similar to some of the anti-parkinsons meds.

Hi friends,Nothing but good things to say about Trivastal Retard. This is my fifth day on it as I have been experiencing a lot of improvement in all mental faculties.
Side effects have gone and I virtually don't experience any at the moment. On the upside, I have noticed an increase in libido plus an intensification of orgasms too. This drug definitely augments Provigil as far as I am experienced. But I have a long way to go. Let's see how the trial turns out to be.
Cheers.

Trivastal Retard 50mg.Still find this useful but very unfortunately, things in the sexual department is not the same as it was in the first days. There's a considerable decline in libido for the past couple of days. It seems to be progressively deteriorating.
Don't know whether to go on with this stuff. I can't afford something which is toxic to sex.

After four days of disappearance, libido returns with a vengence. This is what annoys me. When there was no libido, there wasn't any at all. But now when it has been restored, it is in the high level. What's the chemistry behind this?
Anyway, another drug for me to love along with my Provigil.

is it still affecting your sleep and resulting in early rising?
Is it actually decreasing libido at this point?

I was surprised to see that Servier didn't list tachycardia as one of the common side effects.
Has your heart rate increased much?

You might not sleep?
The extended release bothers me a bit.
My sleep isn't that good at the moment.
The rate of release is the thing, I suppose.
That and the half-life.
This is the end of the thread.
