i have just realised after blood tests i have mistakenly taken 225 mg throxine instead of 175mg . not knowing this at the time i myself got on to lorazapan for the anxiety etc i was having{taking 1mg night for sleep .5mg in the morning .5mg in the afternoon } .my doctor didnt know about the lorazPaN .i had some grief and turmoil in my life AND THAT IS WHY I TOOK THE LORAZAPAN . . ON GOING TO MY DOCTOR he told me ishouldnt be taking that much lorazapan and need to ween off . he put me on 50 mg zoloft . NOW WITH JUST GETTING BLOOD TESTS DONE I FIND OUT NOW I HAVE TAKEN TOO MUCH THROXINE BY MISTAKE AND NOW I THINK ALL THE SYMPTONS OF anxiety sweating heart pulpataions panic attacks and nervous COULD ALL BEEN CAUSED BY TOO MUCH THROXINE .this has been happening for ALL about 2mths .my doctor now put me on 50mg zoloft and am trying to get off lorazapan. . how shouuld i get back to normal ,. ifeel my lifes a mess . HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE BEFORE THE THROXINE SETTLES BACK TO NORMAL

I don't know much about thyroxine but I do know that taking more than needed will cause those nasty symptoms of anxiety, racing heart, fatigue, and overall feeling like crap.... but that should be temporary since you are back to your normal dose.
Sounds like you might be going through slight withdrawals from the lorazepam and adjusting to the side effects of the zoloft. Zoloft gave me horrible anxiety attacks, I didn't last more than 2 weeks on the stuff. What I would do if I was in your shoes... is tell my doc that until I get readjusted to the thyroxine and zoloft, I WANT to continue taking lorazepam, and eventually wean off. That's what I would do, I know it's hard to function when starting new meds, and when you feel so bad. The doctor knows best, but then again s/he is NOT in your shoes and does not feel the pain you feel. Don't be afraid to tell your doctor how crappy your feeling, make it VERY clear so he listens and re-evaluates your meds/plans.
Good luck!!!

The time varies to reach the correct range at least six weeks between level checks. Now that you're on the correct dose if the anxiety was from the thyroxine you should feel calmer as level changes. Phillipa
