I started with 25mg of seroquel. It made me sleepy after a couple of hours. I titrated to 50mg. It makes me sleepy after a couple of hours. I only take it at night before I goto bed. I do not think that it is a good idea to take it during the day because it can be very sedating. The sedating feeling goes away after a while.

GoodLuck : )

What's the half life of Seroquel, or how long does it last for?

I quite liked Remeron for sleep, but couldn't stand the next day.

12.5mg put me out cold during the day. Given it at night when in the hospital at 50mg with believe it not chloral hydrate and xanax this was a few years ago. Still woke after four hours the staff repeated the dose in the morning almost fainted and wanted to talk it was in my mind but no words came out. Taken off it that day by the doctors. And a week later my lips peeled terribly. Not a good med for me. Phillipa

I bite a 25mg tab in half for sleep.. it knocks me out in half an hour and makes me sleep for 9 or 10 hours.

I would sleep about 10+ hours a day on it, though I was on 800mg

Hi Obsidian,

If I take 25mg I'm okay and don't get sleepy, 50 to 75mg I fall asleep in about an hour and when I wake up I'm groggy, but able to function.

Note, I take it to help me sleep as traditional sleep meds like ambien don't work with me.
